Family

When I took this picture, I was on a ranch in North Carolina with my boyfriend, my brother, and my brother's girlfreind. It was the day after I had flown home from Colorado and I was so happy. We went on a double date and I sat in the middle of the car, with my upper body out of the sun roof. I remember how beautiful the sun felt and how the energy from all the animals made me feel radiant. We drove around and fed the animals while I snapped pictures. I was completely exhausted from the traveling I had done before, but all of that exhaustion and stress disappeared when I was riding around with part of my family. I was so happy, so radiant, so alive. In that moment, i truly felt that nothing could make it better, it was complete euphoria, and it was because I had surrounded myself with family. I feel like this picture really captures what I was feeling the very moment I captured this mother and her baby. It reminded me of how wonderful it is to have such a supportive, loving family and how I have been longing to be closer to them. This image of the mother and her baby, to me, symbolizes a life long connection and support system that the baby will have. Their relationship is the beginning of a life long love and protectiveness for those who are your family. I love it.
