How We Depend on earth

We love Mother Nature in her purest forms. It brings humans great joy to see Her at her best. We depend on Her to provide for us, to give us food, shelter, water, and resources. We are also greedy - humans, that is. We take and take from our Mother Earth. But what if She depends on us as much as we depend on Her? What if She needs our resources to care for Her and love Her? She needs our technology as much as we need her purity. She depends on us to help save Her and all that she has provided us with. Without out protection, she could be destroyed. Humans want the sunlight, we want to bask in it and warm our cold bodies with its power. We want Her water, Her oceans, to bathe and drink and purify ourselves. We want Her gardens, Her produce so we can feed ourselves and feed those around us. We give just enough back to Her to be able to continue taking her resources. We keep her alive just enough so we can add more people to her bountiful collection. But why not do more? Why continue to walk the fine line and dance around her illnesses when we could save Her, love Her more, love Her harder. Humans sure do love to walk the fine line, to not make the leap until it's an absolute emergency. We love to understand Her but not help Her reach Her full potential. We walk the fine line of continuing to take but never give. Nature deserves more. Mother Nature deserves more.
